Digital and Multimodal Literacies and Student Motivation

 This weekly blog will serve to inform fellow teachers and teachers-to-be about the impacts of new literacies, including digital and multimodal, on student motivation in reading and writing development.  The topics covered in this blog will include: research, sources, and commentary on the purpose of motivation in instruction with digital and multimodal literacies, strategies to encourage student engagement and motivation using digital and multimodal tools, supporting struggling readers' motivation with digital and multimodal literacies, and the roles of digital and multimodal literacies in early and adolescent reading development and motivation.  This blog will also include a plan of implementation of instruction with the goal of integrating digital and multimodal tools and literacy that supports students' motivation.
